CAPTAIN MICHAEL M. DUGAN, FDNYCaptain Michael M. Dugan has over 32 years of fire service experience and is a 20 year veteran of the FDNY, serving as the Captain of Ladder Co. 123, located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. As a Lieutenant, Dugan was assigned to Ladder Co. 42 in the South Bronx. While working as a Firefighter in Spanish Harlem’s Ladder Co. 43, Dugan received the James Gordon Bennett medal in 1992 and the Harry M. Archer Medal in 1993, the FDNY’s highest award for bravery. He is also a former Halesite, Long Island volunteer firefighter. Captain Dugan was an instructor
at the inception of the FDNY's Annual Education Day and has developed
programs currently taught to all FDNY members during the Annual Education
Day. Captain Dugan has been a featured lecturer around the country and
at both the "Firehouse Expo" and the "FDIC.” He is
the lead instructor of the "Firehouse Expo” and “Firehouse
Road Show" Engine and Truck Company Operations program and a "HOT"
instructor at the "FDIC". He is a contributing editor to "Firehouse"
magazine and the Firehouse.com Member’s Zone. LIEUTENANT MICHAEL CIAMPO, FDNYLieutenant Michael Ciampo is a 20 year veteran of the fire service. He is currently a Lieutenant in the FDNY assigned to Ladder Co. 45 in the Bronx; previously he was a Firefighter in Ladder Co. 44. Prior to joining the FDNY, Ciampo spent 5 years with the District of Columbia Fire Department and was formerly a volunteer with the Wyckoff, NJ Fire Department. Lieutenant Ciampo holds a B.A.
degree in Fire Science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He developed
the FDIC's Hands-On Ladders program and is also an instructor at “Firehouse
Expo” and “Firehouse World”. He has taught numerous
other private courses around the country and is a Contributing Editor
and Advisory Board member for Fire Engineering magazine. LIEUTENANT MICHAEL S. ZARBO, BUFFALO, NY FIRE DEPARTMENTLieutenant Zarbo is a 17 year veteran of the Buffalo, NY Fire Department, currently assigned to Engine Co. 32, 4th Platoon. He is a former full-time fire instructor for the City of Buffalo Fire Academy and is currently a New York State Fire Instructor. Lieutenant Zarbo teaches New York State outreach courses as well as resident programs at the New York State Academy. He is certified by the National Fire Academy in Fire Service Course Design, and is also certified in New York State to teach all aspects of firefighting, concentrating in technical rescue. He teaches Search and Rescue Operations at the New York State Chiefs Convention Hands-On Training in Syracuse and is a member of Captain Dugan’s team of instructors at “Firehouse Expo” Hands-On Training. He is also a proud member of the Western New York F.O.O.L.S. LIEUTENANT MICHAEL H. GILBERT, MELBOURNE, FL FIRE DEPARTMENTMichael H. Gilbert is a 24 year veteran of the fire service, currently serving as a Lieutenant with the Melbourne Fire Department in Florida. Mike also holds the rank of Chief at the Brevard Community College Fire Training Academy, as well as Instructor for the Fire Science degree program. He has been an FDIC staff member and a "HOT" Instructor since 1992. He also instructs for FIREHOUSE EXPO & WORLD. Certified by the State of Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training, Mike is a well seasoned Instructor in the areas of Fire Fighter Survival, Engine & Truck Operations, Fire Service Hydraulics, and Basic Firefighting Standards. He also is a co-founder of Pro Aquatics, a Florida based training organization that develops and teaches water safety and survival programs for both the Fire Service and Law Enforcement.
